Our silent auction to benefit veterans raised $1600 which was presented to the American Legion Commander Tad Jude by our Executive Director, Howard Markus at the end of the annual meeting.

Legion Great?

Advocacy for Veterans: The American Legion advocates for veterans' rights and benefits, helping them access necessary services and support. 

 

Community Engagement: It plays a crucial role in community service, providing assistance to veterans and their families during crises. 

 

Educational Opportunities:  The organization supports youth and provides mentoring programs, helping young people develop into responsible citizens. 

 

Support for Families:  The American Legion offers financial assistance and resources to help families of active-duty members. 

 

Historical Significance:  Established after World War I, it has a long history of service and has been instrumental in shaping policies that benefit veterans.

 

Overall, the American Legion is dedicated to strengthening communities and supporting those who have served.
