| Founded in 1936, Minnesota Transport Services Association (MTSA) was
first organized as a trucking employer representation group that provided labor
negotiations for members. Since that time, MTSA has grown into a powerful trucking trade
association representing Minnesota's small to mid-sized motor carriers, household goods
movers, and private carrier industry. MTSA members subscribe to a trucking industry
"Code of Ethics" that includes and focuses on employee safety training, the
fostering and promotion of good business ethics, effective maintenance and repair of truck
equipment, and lawful management actions. To this end, MTSA provides its membership with
educational seminars, safety materials, and reduced pricing on DOT-required forms and
paperwork.
The affairs of MTSA are conducted by the membership through its Board of Directors. The
Board is elected by the membership at the MTSA Annual Convention. The MTSA Board of
Directors meets monthly and sets goals, strategy, and direction for the association. In
addition to the Board, other committees are appointed to fulfill the objectives of the
association.
